Is it really that time of year again?

Porter loved helping with the tree. So far Audrey hasn't pulled herself up on the tree or eaten any ornaments.

Eric was excited to have Christmas lights on our house for the first time.

Two Nights of Freedom

I spent my first night way from the kids in over a year the weekend before Thanksgiving. One of my good friends from graduate school got married so I flew to Austin for the wedding. It was really nice to miss the kids. I kept leaving things like nail polish and pens on the floor just because I could.

While you were showering...

I got hunger and decided to pour myself the whole box of Honey Bunches of Oats.

A week later (mom must not have learned her lesson the first time) I got hungry and found the cooler with two yogurts. I opened the first one and it exploded on the floor all over my pjs and even on the couch.

The Alphabet

Porter has been practicing his letters and wanted everyone to see how he is doing. He has started randomly asking what letters say throughout the day and especially in the bath with his foam letters. Enjoy the video.

Watch out Porter here I come

Audrey started crawling a couple of weeks ago and on Halloween she pulled herself up for the first time. Ever since then she is out of control pulling herself up on everything. Audrey loves to torment her older brother by crawling over to him and grabbing whatever toy he is playing with. We thought we solved the problem by having Porter play on the couch but now Audrey just pulls herself up to the couch and grabs at his toys on the couch. Porter's not to sure about having a little sister any more.

Happy Halloween

Porter screamed any time we tried to put a costume on him so we gave up and he went as a construction worker. Audrey went as a duck. Porter had so much fun trick-or-treating. We went for an hour and a half. Anytime I asked Porter if he wanted to go home he would say, "No, trick-or-treat more." I figured we only do this once a year so we would go until he could no longer walk if he wanted and that is what we did.
